This conference was co-hosted by the AI for Science Institute, Beijing, the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and DP Technology, and was chaired by Academicians E Weinan, Ding Hong, and Tang Chao. The meeting systematically analyzed the three major challenges facing the AI for Science (AI4S) field: "data scarcity and silos," "a shortage of interdisciplinary talent," and "bottlenecks in scientific research tools." It also proposed innovative solutions such as embodied intelligence laboratories and national mega-science programs. Furthermore, the conference promoted the establishment of the "AI for Science Expert Committee" to provide a core framework for policymaking.
